Carter Corporation has been working with clients in Asbestos Management for 14 years. They service over 1700 clients who collectively administer over 3000 buildings.

It was during this period Carters' recognized the widespread ignorance of both trades people and the public in general, when working with asbestos containing materials.

Five years ago, Carters' vision was to put in place a means:

To share our knowledge and hands-on experience gained over past years both, through and with as many people as possible.

To further research and develop products and services to fulfill the gap / needs of this industry. Products and services we believe have the potential to save 1000's of lives.

To awaken all those unaware of the dangers to themselves, their families, their friends and their workmates, from exposure to asbestos by making available the means to do so.

To actively seek help and assistance from others to complete our "Asbestos Awareness Campaign" Australia wide, as expeditiously as possible.

The most effective method to communication this awareness message is the website platform www.asbestosandyou.com.au available - on demand - as required.

From January 2006 we are making available the Asbestos Awareness information on this website. This represents a significant milestone for the Carter Group.

Another significant step has been the formation of Asbestos & You as a separate independent identity to work with the home owner.

Asbestos & You is the vehicle to promote asbestos awareness nationally and to develop and provide the products and services necessary.

Asbestos and You has set its goal to make asbestos awareness information freely available to all Australian families.

We have set a five year time table to achieve this goal.

To accelerate the awareness campaign we are seeking participating partners who can include a link to the asbestos awareness website on their website to "leverage" access to the information.
